Our experience with having a special needs child (Hyrum, ds 7yo) is that it helps to ground the whole family on things of abiding worth. The physical and emotional demands of meeting Hyrum's needs require us to keep our time and space simple and uncluttered, to do effective calendaring and scheduling, to personalize our goals and objectives for him (and, by extension, for all the children), and the list could go on and on. We know many families with children with special needs who feel similarly that it is a blessing even more than a trial.

Leadership Education consists of principles that can be applied to anyone, no matter the challenges or gifts he or she has.
